evis Finance was delighted to participate in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) LATAM Conference 2026, held in São Paulo, Brazil, from September 16 to 18, 2026.
Recognised as the leading gathering for private wealth professionals in Latin America, the conference convened practitioners from over 95 jurisdictions, including lawyers, trust specialists, accountants and wealth management advisors.

A central theme of this year’s programme was the evolving tax landscape across Brazil and the wider LATAM region. Delegates examined the implications of Brazil’s historic tax reform, which entered its implementation phase in January 2026 with the gradual introduction of a new dual VAT system (CBS and IBS) to replace existing consumption taxes, alongside new considerations for dividend taxation and international structuring. The reforms are prompting many Latin American families and their advisors to reassess succession and cross-border planning strategies.
